Şeker means "sugar" and she is very sweet as she wiggles up with a submissive grin to give you a kiss on the nose, but then runs away the moment you try to pet her.  She both wants and fears getting love and attention at the same time.  She is a natural hunter.  For obvious reasons, cats don't prowl the dog sanctuary, but rodents are few and far between thanks to Şeker.  When she isn't chasing lizards, she's digging holes or taking a nap in the cool shade of the bramble.  Playful, agile and graceful, she loves to race up and down the forest path.  Volunteer dog trainers and Tellington TTouch methods have proven very effective helping this beautiful dog overcome her uncertainty and enjoy contact with humans.

Adı gibi şeker olan bu köpek size burundan bir öpücük vermek  için itaatkar bir sırıtmayla yanınıza sokulacak onu sevmeye çalıştığınız anda kaçacaktır. Hem sevgi ve ilgi isteyen hem de bundan korkan Şeker aynı zamanda doğal bir avcı. Bariz nedenlerden barınma merkezinde pek kedi dolaşmasa da, kemirgenlerin sayısı da Şeker sayesinde oldukça az. Kertenkele kovalamadığı zamanlarda ya çukur kazar ya da böğürtlen çalısının gölgesinde kestirir. Oyuncu, atik ve zarif olan Şeker ormana giden yolda koşmaya bayılıyor. Gönüllü köpek eğitmenleri ve Tellington TTouch yöntemi bu güzel köpeğin tedirginliğini aşıp insanlarla iletişim kurmasında oldukça etkili oluyor.
