Şustrik is a pleasant, friendly, fun-loving, polite dog, who is comfortable with people. Şustrik shares a kennel with her sister, Karabuşka, and mischievous Şirin.  At first glance, the two sisters don't look anything alike, but if you can get them to hold still for a moment, you'll see the similarity in their eyes.  Şustrik has one torn ear, but whatever happened, it does not haunt her, she is a very happy dog. She and her sister were abandoned as puppies and both survived parvo virus, though there is no sign of this in the healthy, care-free dogs they are today.  They are respectful kennelmates and make the most of their free-run hours, burning lots of energy at play.  They have so much fun, that herding them back into their kennel at the end of their free time can become a game -- one runs in and another runs out -- but Ahmet and Hasan Abi always win. Şustrik seemed to sense what it means to have a foster family.  On their second visit, she eagerly walked with them without a leash or being called. Karabuşka and Şirin went along too, but Şustrik stayed close to her family, she seemed to know they were there for her.

Şustrik mutlu, dost canlısı, eğlenceye düşkün, kibar ve insanlarla iyi anlaşan bir köpek. Şustrik kız kardeşi Karabuşka ve haylaz Şirin ile aynı kulübeyi paylaşıyor. İlk başta birbirlerine benzer görünmeseler de, eğer onları bir an için sabit tutmayı başarırsanız, gözlerindeki benzerliği fark edeceksiniz. Şustrik'in bir kulağı bilinmeyen bir neden dolayı kopmuş olsa da bu onu mutlu bir köpek olmaktan alıkoymuyor. O ve kız kardeşi yavruyken terk edilmiş ve her ikisi de parvo virüsünü yenmeyi başarmış. Virüs iki kardeşte de herhangi bir hasara yol açmamış. Onlar birbirlerine saygılı kulübe arkadaşları ve serbest dolaşma zamanlarının çoğunda birlikte koşup oynayarak çokça enerji harcıyorlar.  Serbest zamanlarında o kadar çok eğleniyorlar ki, onları tekrar kulübeye sokmak birinin girip diğerinin çıktığı bir oyuna dönüşüyor. Ancak Ahmet ve Hasan Abi oyunu her zaman kazanıyor. Şustrik koruyucu ailesinin değerini biliyor. Daha ikinci ziyarette adı bile söylenmeden onlara doğru istekli bir şekilde yürüdü. Karabuşka ve Şirin de yaklaşmış olsa da, Şustrik sanki onun için geldiklerini anlamış gibi ailesine diğerlerinden daha yakın duruyordu.
