Yaşar is the Queen of the free dogs on the northeastern end of the sanctuary. Early volunteers remember how she waited and worried outside Ahmet's room when he was caring for a weak, malnourished dog that she loved with all her heart. She lives with Alexandra in the storeroom, where she has a view of all comings & goings, and puts her nose in everything that is happening. She likes to be the first to get hugs from volunteers as they come through the door. The couch in the storeroom is her throne and she rarely moves far from this position. She is a warm, loyal, friendly, a dog whose heart is open despite the suffering she endured in earlier years. She always wants attention and paws at you for more when you stop petting her. She needs to be with people.

Yaşar barınma merkezinin kuzeydoğu ucunda serbest dolaşan köpeklerin kraliçesi. İlk gönüllülerimiz Ahmet odasında zayıf, yetersiz beslenmiş bir köpekle ilgilenirken Yaşar’ın tüm kalbiyle sevdiği bu köpeği Ahmet’in kapısında nasıl endişeyle beklediğini hatırlayacaktır. Depoda Alexandra ile yaşayan Yaşar böylece tüm gelen gideni görebiliyor ve olan bitene karışabiliyor. Gönüllüler kapıdan girer girmez onları karşılayıp ilk kucaklanan olmayı seviyor. Depodaki kanepe onun tahtı ve buradan nadiren uzaklaşıyor. Erken yaşlarda çektiği ızdıraba rağmen sıcakkanlı, sadık, dostcanlısı bir köpek olan Yaşar her zaman ilgi istiyor ve onu okşamayı bıraktığınızda patileriyle devam etmenizi istediğini size anlatıyor. Onun insanlarla birlikte olmaya ihtiyacı var.
